I'm thinking of purchasing a loader grapple in the near future and unfortunately I wasn't looking forward enough when purchasing my tractor. I didn't have them install the 3rd function setup. My bad!

Has anyone done the install themselves on the Kubota B2650 using the WR Long valve? In particular, how hard is it to break into the hydraulic power beyond after the loader valve and before the backhoe quick disconnects?
Were any special fittings or fabrications needed? I guess the same questions could apply to anyone that has installed the Kubota valve themselves also.

Thanks in advance!

Look at everything attachment web site. Think they have everything you need. They carry WR long 3rd function setup.

That's one of my top choices, but with some of the questions I had concerning the hookups when one has the detachable backhoe....they encouraged me to call the WR Long rep for those answers. Their video makes it look like a piece of cake....except...it's for a loader whose valve is up front by the loader post and didn't make mention of backhoe hookups. The B2650 loader valve is under the seat area and makes use of formed steel tubing and fittings. The WR Long rep said the installer would have to have a good knowledge of hydraulics (understandable) and would be expected to be able to make changes to his specific system in the plumbing to hook it up per their instruction diagram. Their hydraulic diagram is generic and the instructions are not model specific. Or so it seems.

I did find out from the WR Long rep that he was adamant that their 3rd function valve kit be installed after the loader valve and before the backhoe circuit.....even though it's all hooked up in a series circuit. Which made sense after he explained why to me. But that still left questions about specific hookups for the B2650 due to also having/using a backhoe. The hydraulic concept is easily understandable.....but the question is will I have to fabricate new steel tubing and fittings for this particular application on the B2650. The rep said most likely I would need a different hose length due to the BH77 but couldn't answer the particular hookup questions specific to the B2650. So I'm hoping someone else has installed it themselves and can say that it's as easy as they make it seem...with a little knowledge, care, and some tools.
Regards,
David
