The key to eliminating confusion is to focus on one thing at a time. Your last priblem was the boom so thats what we look at first.

So when you get home lets do the 3pt test to eliminate it as a potential source of interference with the boom function on the loader. Testing it is simple and fast. If thats not the problem we move to the next possibilty.

So please - in order to know where to go next do you have any rear remotes or a third function on the loader? Knowing whats in the circuit is crucial to an orderly trouble shooting process.

Thanks sir, There are no other hydraulic options. Just loader boom up and down/ float. bucket curl/ dump fast dump and 3point which carries a 60" blade. Between work and a frozen Maryland I've not tested anything since the 45 degree day we had a few days ago. I sure have a lot to test and intend to do so soon. I'll make a reply of my findings when I know to answers. I certainly do appreciate yours and other members help here.

Libertytown for Me. I race at Mason Dixon Dragway but seldom go out your way otherwise. Today I replaced all 4 of the connector sets (from Summit Hydraulics) and worked it hard for about an hour with the 3 point extended full lift). so far so good, all functions working correctly but I still want to test the system and write down the findings. Again, A giant thanks to You sir and the other members as well. I'll report back when I have something solid. Bob Walker Jr.

Guys, thanks for all the help and suggestions. YOU stopped me from buying $500 worth of loader valve. YOU made me check things I didn't think of. A few of you suggested the quick connectors. I just bought and swapped them in December cause my originals were leaking. I replaced almost all of the hoses as well. Things were ok until I bumped the bucket into a snow pile at almost full dump position. At that point I "believe" it back pressure shocked the quick coupler and turned it into a one way valve. I changed the couplers a few nights ago for a set of American Made Summit Hydraulics with a warranty. More than a hundred scoops of snow later....working flawlessly like it has since 1996. the cheap chinese coupler springs are weak and in one the valve will not return on it's own. I can blow thru one way fairly well but struggle to blow thru the other direction. that was enough evidence or me to swap an original coupler "leaker" onto the system and try it. the problem with curling the bucket went away. I did not change the boom couplers and had troubles raising the boom at one point. I dont see evidence of failure in those couplers other than weak springs. At any rate, I now have -8 "Tees' I made and gauges etc. but I'm not sure I need to pursue this unless another problem pops up. Just here to thank ALL of you for helping me.
