I have a B21 turn key to start, fires immediately. As soon as you let key back to run position it turns right off Things tried- new ignition, new stop solenoid seat safety switch has been bypassed prior to my ownership. I have read that other people have had this same issue but no definitive answer. Does anyone have ANY ideas??? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have attached the key stop solenoid wiring and test info from the WSM.

The solenoid has two internal windings powered by 3 external wires.

One is the pull in winding and the second is the Hold winding.

The pull in winding is powered from the circuit which engages the starter.
The hold winding is powered from a 5 amp fuse from the key switch AC terminal.

Check the 5 amp fuse with the Red/blue wire.

Invest $10 in a 12 volt test light.

Your solenoid is receiving power when starting but not when the key switch returns to ON.

So I have replaced the solenoid and tested it in accordance with pages you sent me and have ruled that out. jumped it direct to battery seemed to function fine.Is there anything else I may look at to try to amend the issue, that would be a common problem Im not really a mechanic, but I'm almost positive its electrical. It wants to start just shuts off immediately when returning the key to run position. Obviously all the wires are flumed and didn't want to start tearing all the fluming off.

Is there any type of trouble shooting publication I can buy to help. The owners manual is almost useless
