Hello: My name is Walt and I am new here and new to Kabota. I just purchased an older B20 with a loader and backhoe that I have to pick up. I have a 6000lb trailer 16ft long and I am using a Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 to pull it. I have not been able to find a reliable combined weight of the whole machine. Do I have enough truck and trailer to safely haul this rig?...I am hoping the machine is under 4000#..Thanks for any offerings to my questions..Regards Walt

Second should be fine, Just tie it down good!;)

If your going to haul it a lot, you might want to bump up to a 3/4 or better yet 1 ton truck.

Thanks Wolfman and Barry, I do appreciate it and I am a bit more comfortable with it. I am 10 months budgeted away from a new vehicle so I am hoping I can make due till then:(..I have about 400 miles total to haul this thing and it'll be home to stay.

Try and get the trailer tongue to have at least 400 - 500 lbs load or about 10% of the total weight, most important is the weight balance needs to be forward.

If the trailer is heavy in the back it will sway and in the right circumstances cause you to loose control. If you do get into a weave decelerate slowly with little or no brakes and don't try a steer out of it.

Oh .. I have a B20 and you are in for a treat once you get it home, I don't plan on ever getting rid of mine. :D
