B1700 vr

I'm replacing the Voltage Regulator on my B1700. Someone has been here before. The modular connector is not there. Just spade connectors covered with shrink wrap. All the wires are colorcoded except 2. There is a red with yellow stripe and a yellow with red stripe on the tractor side and a green and a red on the VR side. Which goes to which?

Try this site:www.tractorsmart.com. Plug in the information under their manuals section that applies to your tractor and they will send you an email with a link to a site that should have what you need. Sounds like you are in need of an electrical diagram. Hope this helps.

I'll try that link. I was hoping someone with a B1700 could pop out the insterment panel and look at the connector. It's on the left right behind the Tach. If they could tell me which wire connects to the green on the VR I'd be all set.

Got It! My sister has a B2710 with the same VR. I compared the wiring and it works.
