Just got my "new" Kubota today. (My 1st tractor.)

Any suggestions as to what my first actions should be regarding maintenance or areas to check?

I already see some welding that needs to be done on the belly mower.

Thank you all for your replies in advance and I look forward to being a part of the forum!!!

A manual, at any cost. It will get you all the capacities and hours to change, grease points, and explain what that thingy over there does.

I have a B1550HST also. The most important thing is to remove and clean the two metal mesh strainers in the sides of the transmission casing. The one on the left is the strainer for the HST. On the right is the strainer for power steering and other hydraulic functions.

You'll get a free parts manual here.. www.kubotabooks.com

Its vital the HST strainer is clean or you will experience a major power loss and possibly damage the HST. Usual practice is to drain and replace the fluid at the same time.
