I have a B 1502 and need to top up the transmission (gear box) oil. There is the recommendation to use Kubota's own fluid. Here, it would be hard to get that and probably expensive. It must be similar to ordinary transmission fluids. Ant suggestions on what I can add?

Any oil designed for transmissions and final drives will work great in a B1502. Even automatic transmission oil will be satisfactory.

Kubota fluids are good but not magical, I have used several different brands, Ambra, Case, Rotella, Sinclair etc.

I have since been told that the transmission fluid reservoir is also the hydraulic fluid tank and been advised to use "universal tractor oil" which is apparently designed to be a lubricant and a hydraulic fluid.
