Are new B3350HSDs getting the same common-rail injection as the LX3310?

I'd like a B-size tractor with the larger 30HP engine but the reliability problems of the old B3350 emissions systems are a no-go. The LX is just a bigger physical tractor than I want. Does anyone know if Kubota is going to start using the newer diesel engine technology from the LX3310 in the smaller B3350HSD?

I realize that the size is pretty similar, but the bigger B frames were already a bit bigger than I wanted to go, and it the LXs push that a little further in the wrong direction.

The large B frame 2650/3350 is the LX 2610/3310. They only changed the model. Basically the same exact tractor.

The B3350 became the LX3310 - same size frame. The smaller machine is the small frame B - B2601. I'm not sure what you'd do with 33HP in that size machine, I think you'd have difficulty using it.

As previously posted, the LX3310 is almost identical to the B3350 aside from the common rail engine.

Kubota continues to sell the 3350 but do not expect this to continue long.

No, the 3350 will not get the LX3310 engine.

I was going to get the lx3310 when I was looking at tractors last year. When my dealer damaged the one lx3310 they had on the lot, I switched and bought a Lx2610 with some implements in July. To be honest, haven't once said "I should have waited for the next lx3310" yet.....

No, but as of 03/31/21, all B3350 tractors now have a lifetime warranty on the reformer and related emissions system components.

I hadn't heard that, at least that is good news for those with the tractor.

Retrospectively, or only those newly sold? Retrospectively would be awesome, but Kubota had to do something really or else it would harm their reputation. Most of them seem to go relatively well, but the few (which might be 10% or more) would create far too much noise if they weren't fixing them. Good commercial decision.

There is a brief discussion of this on the Service, Repair and Maintenance page. It is well down on page three of the All B3350 Owners thread.

I verified accuracy of report with two dealers. Apparently it applies to the machine rather than the owner. Not sure policy regarding owners that have already paid out of pocket for such repairs after their warranties had expired.

Kubota would have avoided a great deal of bad press had they done this several years ago. Emissions system problems with B3350 and other machines with same engine affect much more than 10% of units. Probably closer to 100% than 10%.
