I've been using my new grapple a lot. The other day in the woods I noticed that the hoses get too close to the right cylinder / quick attach plate when fully retracted. This pic is right after I mounted it for the 1st time:
In have since used zip ties to keep the 2 hoses together. What I find is when the grapple is rotated to it's extremes a few times the hose seem to migrate over. My short term solution is a bungee cord that seems to work. I am hoping for a more long term solution.
As you can see in the pic I used a length of strut to mount the connector angle support. My 1st thought is to get a spring, like a 12" gate spring, and mount it vertically centered on the strut. Connecting the top of the spring to the hoses in some fashion would allow them to move as required and then be pulled back to the center.
Has anyone tried this? The other possibility that I'm going to try tomorrow is simply loosening the two strut bolts holding the bracket and then sliding the bracket to the middle. There is a lot of length needed when rotating to the extremes and a lot of movement otherwise I would shorten the hoses some.
