Running a Landpride SGC1572 at around 900lbs on my L47 with a LA1300 loader. Works fairly well but realize I’m giving up some lift capacity when using it with that tractor. However, I bought this model grapple so if I want to use it on my M5-091 with an LA1854 loader I wouldn’t tear the grapple up. Besides tree stumps Ive dug out with my backhoe that are almost too big to get ahold of them, the little L47 has never struggled to lift anything I could grab.

I’ve got an L6060, I have the Kubota 4-1 bucket, but borrowed a friends Virnig heavy duty rock grapple for a brush cleanup project. It weighed over 700 lbs, and was too heavy in my opinion. I recently ordered an EA 60” wicked root rake grapple, my friend is waiting to see it, but will likely get rid of the Virnig and get the EA as well For his 6060.

IMHO the EA Wicked 60 is the way to go with a 60 HP Tractor.

I, too, have an L6060 (ROPS) with 4-in-1 bucket. In my opinion, the 4-in-1 bucket alone is too heavy without counterweight. I repair/change my own tires so never use liquid ballast but do have the maximum of 3 weights on each rear wheel. Still, the combination is dangerous on slopes even with an empty bucket.

As MoCo learned...you can easily get too much grapple for a tractor (he has the model I have for my M62). Just because you can lift it doesn't mean it is well balanced for the machine. I have my rears filled. With the backhoe off if I am carrying a heavy rock it is still a bit front heavy.

I also recommend something around the 450-600 lb range for your machine. Remember weight doesn't necessarily mean stronger. EA is a good balance of both but you have to wait months AND pay in full up front. No thanks.
I have landpride and it has been great. Quality is great, and I picked it up 2 weeks after ordering...and I didn't pay until it was being loaded on my truck.

x2 on the appropriate amount of counter weight being a must. I don’t use my SGC1572 on the L47 without the backhoe mounted.

What is weird though, is that your SGC2072 should be a heavier unit (weight wise) than my SGC1572, but the spec sheets on Landpride’s website say otherwise. Curious now what my grapple really weighs.
