It will be good to see what else they come up with. I for one am impressed with their stuff. A local implement dealer I use has started carrying their stuff. I picked up a land plane a few weeks ago. Very well built unit, works like it should, and the fit & finish are great.

They just added Pics and Pricing Yesterday on the Website. 2400 Dollars for the 55". Site Mentioned
20 Grapples in Stock "Ready to Ship" We compared it Side by Side to a EA Wicked 55. My Neighbor which owns the Wicked 55 and I both agreed the Catawba 55 looked a little beefier ..

Not 100% sure , but at the most, 20 to 30 pounds..
60lb according to both websites. Catawba clearly took inspiration from Everything Attachments and appear to have made a decent product.

I hope they go right down EA’s product line & copy, copy, copy! There are some more implements I want.

I don't know if EA has any patents on file, but I wonder what happens to a patent owned by a company filing for bankruptcy, or one that has gone through the process. Does the court assign future income or negotiation rights for patents since it's an asset?

I too am not sure of the legalities. EA didn’t really break any new ground with their implements IMO. They just used top drawer material, controlled their process, great welding, just improved on what was out there. I still am a big fan of theirs. It is to bad about their business acumen.

I would add that I have extreme stress tested the Homestead 55 grapple and it’s passed unscathed. The Veteran discount is 10% opposed to 5. Delivered to your door for less. The 55” is 300lbs. It’s way easier to use than my fork grapple. 2157.12 delivered to my house with the 10% discount.

The Homestead grapples look nice, but I do not see any models offered with long bottom teeth.

First post, been lurking here for a while, but never joined till now.

I had been looking for a grapple and decided on the EA 55, but hesitated due to the wait time and never committed. Some months went by and it got to the point that I could no longer wait and tried to order off the EA site and it didnt work. So called and nobody answered. Started searching to figure out what was going on and came across the tread here relating to their issues.

Im no genius but decided maybe I should find another haha. Looked at a few were too heavy for my L3901. Homestead was the best I could find then stumbled upon Catawaba. It looked exactly like what I needed. Light, made out of Hardox 450, good for trees etc, but looked like it could also pick up decent size rocks individually ( bought a place in AR that has a lot of rock ). Ordered a week or so ago and it came in yesterday.

First impression is it looks well built, and works well. Looks perfect for what I need and picks stuff up off the ground perfectly. Hoses perfect length. Looking forward to putting it to work.
