Anyone here have the air ride seat upgrade for an M tractor ... specifically M60 family?

I opted for the air ride seat upgrade when I ordered the MX6000HSTC last year and I think it was worth the $1,107 shown on the final invoice. The M6060 was bought "as is" off the lot and it came with a nice cloth seat but no air ride. The M rides way better than the MX as it is with the longer wheel base, bigger tires etc and the air ride upgrade is $640 if ordered with a new tractor. The point here is that the M without air ride is more comfortable than the MX with air ride. I wonder how much more comfortable the M would be with air ride.

The reason I ask is that the local dealer has an M6060 air ride upgrade kit laying around and offered it to me at their cost of $416. With the MX you have to buy a new seat, pedestal and the harness, hence the $1,100 price tag. With the M you only have to change out the pedestal so it's half the cost of the MX upgrade.

I'm leaning towards buying it since I'm a sucker for upgrades, but am hoping someone did the upgrade and has some experience to share.

Thanks.

I have an M4-071 without air ride and formerly owned an MX. The standard seat in the M4 is pretty good. I have not "bottomed out" or been thrown around in my 130 hours of use. But...if I could buy an air ride for $400, I would do it without hesitation.

Yeah, I'm kind of leaning that way. Thanks.

$400 seems cheap to get your upgrade fix. If you don't buy the seat you'll have to buy something else.....

I'd jump on that $400 deal. I put the air ride seat on my M59 last winter and I couldn't be happier. The OEM spring seats just suck unless you are 5 feet tall and weigh only 99 lbs.

Just to be clear, the seat isn't upgraded, just the pedestal. But I think I'm going to buy it.

So it's a suspension loaded pedestal?

I picked up the air ride seat upgrade today so that's a done deal.

The dealership manager and I were in the storage area getting the air ride seat talking about front weights for the M6060 and there was a dusty and unpainted front weight bumper with the bolt bar kit attached sitting on the floor. $150 if I want it and it fits the M. I think they have me figured out fairly well.

I noticed lots of suitcase weights laying around the place yesterday when I picked up the plow so I think I'll be back there in a few weeks. $1/lb is what the nice lady said. Shipping these days is getting crazy expensive so $1/lb and $50 in fuel might be the smart move.
