Anyone ever modify and 3Pt hitch to accpet a tilt cylinder??

Looking for advice: I have a L2501 and want to install a tilt cylinder. Bare is a dealer only distributor and Fit-Rite is 20 weeks out according to his website. Any alternatives? I need a swivel ball on lift end and a (clevis) fork on the hitch side. Why can't I just drill in and then weld on a stud to accept a swivel ball on the hitch?...then I could use a wide array of hydraulic cylinders.


Thoughts?


Where am I going wrong here?

Are you talking about a hydraulic top-link or a top-and-tilt (TnT)?

I have a tilt cylinder that was on my 2014 Kubota L3901. It is ball and socket on each end just like the top link is. Do you have a rear remote on your 2501?

Assuming you have rear remotes you can order a cylinder with swivel and fork ends. Search my user name and you will find some threads about this. I used bailing wire to 'template' the hose length and routing I wanted. Try Surplus Center for the cylinder.
