Do I need anti-seize on the glow plug threads?
Was planning on using it, but don't have any here.....

There is no need to put anything on the threads, I have never found any that were seized either.

To get them to break loose took a lot of force.
Once they broke loose, they were difficult to turn until they were about 3/4 of the way out.
About 1/6 of turn each time, with a squeak with every move.
Lightly dusted the new plug threads with graphite & they went right in.
Then I found the threaded portion of the new plugs was longer than the old ones, so I could not start the supplied "nuts". (too close to the manifold)
So I swapped in some small hex nuts & double nutted them.

It’s difficult to understand why Genuine OEM injectors would differ from Original OEM injectors without personal and critical inspection at the source of the replacement at the parts counter to determine if some mistake has been made in the packaging, identification, etc etc.

I bran-pharrted…. I actually FIRST posted GP… then backspaced-over that and type injectors…without checking back on the OP…. Don’t know why I made that mental-switch…. (maybe I should run for office) :ROFLMAO:

The threaded portion on the new plugs was only about .060 longer, but that was enough.

Curiosity question: Would putting anti-seize on the glow plugs be detrimental in any way?
there is a lot of conflicting discussion over using anti-seize on glow plugs. Some manufacturers list in the service manual to not use it on glowplugs or injectors.
Anti-seize is not used during production, soooooooo.
