B2301/B2601 Alternator Upgrade - B7311/B7324 Kit Options
One of the things that was frustrating me was the lack of information on upgrading the alternator on my B2301. I know that the B2301/B2601 are essentially the same machine (except HP), so nearly all parts are interchangeable. They both take the B7311 kit.
I looked through the alternator upgrade kit parts list for the B2650, and found that most of the part numbers are identical, even though the B2650 takes the B7324 kit.
I've combed through KubotaBooks, and other resources, and it seemed that even the upgrade kit for the L series had similar parts and the wiring harness was the same. I bit the bullet and decided to shell out the $150 for the alternator wiring harness, and then I spent some time tracing the harness. It is disappointingly simple, as I guessed it might be.
