Advice wanted re: Blade BX2763A

I now have my Quick Hitch/Subframe BX2751 installed on the BX2230 tractor, along with above mentioned blade. The problem is the hoses from the attachments are not color coded...does anybody know which 2 from the blade, and the two from the hitch get connected?

On another note but same attachment, the grille guard needed to be removed so now nowhere to hang the front weights...

Not knowing your exact tractor I can only offer a general guide. Presumably you are connecting to the loader connections, and you are able to reconnect that according to color code or some other method. Look at your loader cylinders, and determine which hose is connected to the rod end of the lift cylinder, follow that back to determine which connection on the tractor it goes to, and connect the rod end of your plow lift cylinder there. Then do the same for the other end of the lift cylinder. Same procedure for the angle cylinders. That should get you working. It may take a few cycles to purge the air out of the cylinders.

There are supposed to be little colored identification rings on the ends of the hoses that correspond to the colored caps on the tractor. You should hook up the 2 hoses to the front two coupler nipples on the tractor to raise and lower the plow. If your plow has a power angle feature, those two hoses go to the rear two coupler nipples. If anything works in reverse then just swap those two hoses on the nipples. Next time you are at the dealership, order a set of plastic-colored rings.

The tractor is a BX2230, and as stated the hoses are NOT colorcoded. I am yes hooking up to the loader connections, which on this tractor are stacked vertically (4). I have likely tried every configuration, any other tips? With the loader now removed it is difficult to determine which two are lift and which two are for angle....

OK, I missed the tractor information. I will assume that your BX2230 was like my old BX22 loader valve. I suggest installing the loader back onto the tractor, and determining which hose goes where, and then marking them with different color electrical tape. Then you will have to determine which 2 hoses go to the lift cylinders, and which hose goes to the curl cylinder. There is no other way unless you can find your owner's manual and it gives you a diagram of the valve. I will look for any old manuals that I have and post if I find anything.
I have been thinking about this more. There are only 4 hoses, 2 male and 2 female on the valve. There is a hose that comes off the tractor and has to be plugged back into the tractor when you remove the loader. Did you do this? If not, nothing will work! I used to have trouble figuring out the hoses and would have to swap them, but it was only a choice of which two. It shouldn't be that difficult unless someone changed the couplings from the factory set up.

The valve has 4 all male quick connects, and they are colorcoded as shown below. The 4 hoses from the plow blade are the ones that are not. The loader had the colored rings so no problem when comes time to put her back on. There was nothing else to disconnect to remove the loader, just the 4 hoses. I have all the manuals for all the attachments I own and appears there is no diagram but thanks for looking...does anybody know off-hand what colors on the valve does the controlling of lift/roll function of loader?

I don't have your exact model, but on my BX2360 white/yellow are lift. Blue/red are curl. Same arrangement as you have on your tractor.

I just use the the white/yellow for my snowblower's lift function.

On your tractor the one closest to hydro pedal and the one furthest away are for the up and down cylinder. Follow the hoses from the up down cylinder and you'll know which to connect to the tractor. I don't know which way you like your's to work lever down for lift lever up for down.

Yup bx 2370-1 is what mine is and looks like white / yellow for lift.

Ok everybody thanks for all chiming in. It is indeed the top and bottom connecters on the loader valve for the lift cylinder (wh. and yellow), and then yes the red and blue are for angling of the blade. I will ID them to make easier for me or others next time. At one point I may have had them hooked up correctly, by dumb-luck for sure but I was also not aware that so much the engine speed needed to be throttled up to make for optimum hydraulic usage.

She lifts and lowers, angles right and left like a champ now! What with the blade sunk into the gravel last night and me not being able to mobilize the tractor, I'm sorry to say the ol girl spent her first night out in the rain in 15 years. I need to show her more respect, she's a gem.
