I have an L4240, which I thoroughly enjoy. If possible, I would like to adjust the lift lever linkage so that when the lever is fully down, the hitch is fully lowered and, when the lever is fully up, the hitch is fully raised. When I move the lever to the #1 or #12 position, I'd like to see the lift start rising. As it is now, I have to raise the lever to the number 4 position to get the lift to start raising (See picture).

Is it possible to make this adjustment? Has anyone done it?

Thanks for the help.

I may be way off base but I believe it's common for the arms to be as low as they will go at about the #3 or #4 position. This probably isn't the fix you're looking for but try it with your adjustable stop set about #3 that way when you lower the arms your control stops at the #3 instead of traveling all the way to the bottom. If you have your stop adjusted correctly as soon as you move the control toward up the arms will move also.

None of my implements use the exact same ride height so I adjust the stop position quite often depending on my needs. If you get used to doing that it really make the tractor more user friendly.

Hi Bulldog,

You are correct; it wasn't the solution I was hoping for, but it is good advice. I will try it. Thank you.

Maybe that will help. I understand what you mean about moving a control and nothing happens. That bothers me as well and adjusting the stop will help to eliminate most of that.
