I just picked up an MX4800 without any rear remotes but would like to understand what my options are for adding them. I think that they were a factory option at the time but I'm not sure. What is the most cost effective way to add these?

Thanks!

Most cost effective is a cheap aftermarket valve, some couplers, and a few hoses. Definitly not as pretty as OEM but may work better.

In that case you probably dont even know what you want. What is your thinking?

You are correct...i don't know the specifics but I do want to be able to hookup a seed drill, operate an hydraulic rear blade and install a top & tilt kit.

Pretty standard stuff.

I would suggest you call your dealer and get a price on the factory kit with two valves. That will give you a base point on cost - i will guess better part of $2K. Its a pretty simple bolt on installation that you can handle yourself if you are reasonably skilled with a wrench.

You could roll your own for well under $1K but they wont be as pretty and you will have to do more in the way of planning the mounting of the bits and pieces.

The best place to get a kit... https://www.fitritehydraulics.com/ it will take 22-23 weeks but it will be the best one out there.

If Kubota (still?) makes a factory set, it will be pretty tucked away but the valves might have some internal leakage.

I built my own set, and it looks like it... I didn't know anything about hydraulics but I'm happy with what I ended up with... (and much less money).

I got a kit from FitRite Hydraulics that was the valve and the top and tilt cylinders. He makes the cylinders custom to your tractor model and fabricates a mounting bracket for the valve. On mine he left the hoses for me to purchase locally.

I highly recommend him if you have the time to wait, but the valve can be done yourself with a little knowledge gained by asking questions and reading about the equipment. He will sell just the cylinders or just the valve as far as I know, I just got everything at once for simplicity.

Summit Hydraulics is also a source for kit solutions but I have not used them myself.

If you already have a front end loader you will just tie into that hydraulic system with some fittings and hoses. It is generally very simple and straightforward to understand where to connect to since the valves are usually marked well.

Good Luck

FitRite sure seems like the way to go but the lead-time is almost 6-months but I will need to be clearing and grading within 3-months. Are there other options out there similar to FitRite?

I can't add much to the "rear remote" question, however from your previous posts, it sounds like you are planning on a "top and tilt" kit possibly.

If you are, I suggest getting ones with the Dual Pilot Operated Check Valve (DPOCV) already installed if you want to prevent leaking down.

Trying to add them after the fact is quite difficult.

Here is some light reading about my struggles with trying to add them later.

PM me - I can help you get the valve and outlets in place pretty quickly. I can not help with the TnT part of the deal.

I imagine that you can get cylinders elsewhere but I don’t know where. I didn’t look for them
