My tractor doesn’t use that block. The guy I bought it from had it on a Kubota b6100 I believe (he bought it used so not sure what it was on before that). He said he had it working but it was really slow because his pump GPM was too low. When I was testing it the way it is it will move plenty of fluid through the current “t” and “p” ports and then when you push handle in any direction it cuts flow off so assuming it’s directing it to the cylinder lines then let handle go and flow continued out. From my very little understanding that’s how it’s supposed to be isn’t it?
No thats not how it is supposed to be. The valve has P, T ,and PB ports and he was only using P and PB. Here is my best guess as to ports. You need to use all three.

Well good news is the loader works great! My 3 point lift no longer works, I swapped the “t” and “pb” hoses and quickly tested and no change. Any other ideas to make both work at the same time?

Start by showing us your plumbing. Off the top of my head i would guess the valve is not actually configured for power beyond. Easy to test now that its powered up.

@TheOldHokie

I recall you (or someone else?) talking about valves with some internal method for the Power Beyond. Is that possibly one of those valves?

Prince Wolverine valves are converted by installing a 1/8" BSPP pipe plug in the back of one tank port. But the TYM loader manual does not show anything other than 3 hoses.

Now that he has it hooked up its easy to test the valve and see what its doing.

I'll be the fly in the ointment as usual. Those malleable iron fittings are not meant for hydraulic system service. They're meant for water, oil, and gas up to maybe 300 psi. You're not the only one to use them on hydraulics, but they sometimes fail.

Here’s the way I have it hooked up. I know it’s rigged right now but like I said before I will make it nice once I get it all figured out. Not great pictures but hope this helps.

Thanks,

Charles
Thats the porting we talked about but I am afraid you may have boogered up the threads in the T port. The TYM manual says those ports are BSPP and it looks liie you used an NPT fitting.

Post a picture of the plug you took out of T. I was going to have you put it back..

You are correct they are BSPP threads, I didn’t have a straight fitting JIC to BSPP and the ports are so close I couldn’t thread in both fittings. I lightly threaded the npt nipple in and went smooth I was careful not to strip threads or tighten too much. I can put old plug back in

Put the plug back in and test the 3pt. Hopefully it does not leak.

I reinstalled the plug in port “T” and both loader and 3pt work great with no leaks. I was curious so I swapped
Hose and put plug in “PB” and both loader and 3 pt work as they should that way as well. Am I safe to think it’s ok with just the two hoses hooked up?

The valve is missing whatever is needed for PB operation so T and PB are connected together. That why you got no pressure to the 3pt with the T line connected.

Are you safe? Mostly but you are likely exceeding the maximum pressure on T by about 4X. That often results in leaks at the seals on the spools. You are also at risk of truly deadheading the pump should something block the return portion of the circuit. The relief valve is dumping into a pressure circuit and cannot unload the pump if that happens. Gear pumps will self destruct in a matter of minutes if that happens.

If I were you I would be researching a way to get the proper plumbing in place.

Ok I’ll do some more digging and try to get ahold of TYM again. Do you think it’s possible that another port is the “PB” port and I’m tapped into the wrong one?

Not based on the diagra. In the TYM manual. Plus its in the right spot and has an extended boss on the casting. Look for some sort of port label in that area. More likely you are missing some sort of conversion fitting. Look inside and see if there is a place to screw something in.
