Hello folks - Mr. K here with some tips when it comes to posting your classified ad.
Tip #1 - An Appropriate Title
Generally you want others to find what you have for sale, or what you are looking for, quickly. An ad title such as B6000 Waterpump is not as helpful as FOR SALE: B6000 Waterpump or WANTED: B6000 Waterpump.
Tip #2 - Pictures
If you are selling something and you have a few images available, consider uploading them. A lot of people feel a lot more comfortable when the broken waterpump they are holding in their hand looks a lot like the used but still in very good condition one you are listing for sale.
Tip #3 - Asking Price
If you are selling something, list a price.
Tip #4 - Contact Information & Location
Allways include "general location" (Country, State/Province, City). How to reach you: Best is to ask that interested parties contact you via PM (personal message). Other option is you can include Contact info. but do so in non traditional format. (Non-traditional format can help prevent attracting Bots that attract spam to the board AND your own email account).
Tip #5 - Ad Maintenance
If you do sell or find your item - consider not deleting the ad. Instead, reply to the thread stating that the item is sold or you found what you needed. By not deleting the rest of us can still see the history of the ad and view any questions asked and answered. Handy! Even better is to also PM a moderator and ask them to edit the thread title too include "sold" "Found" or other appropriate wording.
An Example Ad
FOR SALE: B6000 Waterpump, Alberta CA
Parting out my B6000 after buying a new MX135. Waterpump is in used but working condition. Asking $50 or best offer. Other parts are available.
