from my cellphone...

I'm looking at the Angsung YJR 74 tiller which is their heavier duty gear driven tiller. It weighs 919lbs.

Does anyone have experience with this tiller or a similar one on a 2WD geared L4600? I'm looking to break ground with it and till up hog damage.

TIA,
Sid

I have been running a 6 foot king kutter for years on and old gas jetstar moline with alleged 44 pto hp. Sometimes the tiller pushes the tractor a little but two passes full down through sod and it does a nice job. I am running a 6 foot land pride on a green 40 pto hp compact tractor and it works great. Your tractor has 2 pto hp less but I don't think that is significant.

Those Angsuns are supposed to be decent tillers (according to the local dealer). The local dealer said he has had no problems or returns with them.

Thanks! I see a larger tractor in my future so I want to go as large as practical. I realize I will have to go slow and may not be able to take a full depth 'bite' on the first pass.

I plan on adding full wheel weights so that may help with the pushing. I can add some weight to the loader bucket if the tractor isn't balanced.

Can you post how it works for you? Bump it up the list cuz I'll forget to search for it. My guess unless you have heavy soil it'll be fine.

My soil is pretty sandy so, after breaking through the 'crust' I should be fine.
I'm consistently running a 72" with my L3800 Hydro 4x4, no problem. Seldom if ever use 4 wheel when tilling.

I've got a few rocks, but not many. No sandy soil here. I've hit some rocky patches, but they're not for a tiller of any size. Beats the whole works to death.
