I did some light brush hogging just to get to a pile of dirt. Picked up the dirt and headed to where I was working. No sound or anything, when I looked back I could see a trail of oil. Bush hog was not running for at least 35 minutes before the leak and pto shaft has been sized and cut. It seems as this seal has come out and started leaking? No radial play only slight in and out movement. Any help would be great.

Edit- went back to where I was cutting. There is oil here so it was leaking while cutting. Never made a sound bbnever hit anything. Cutter does have an adjusted slip clutch.

It’s a knock in seal and the dealers usually carry them in stock.

Replace the seal with a new seal, then check the Case Vent for operation.
A plugged vent will send case pressures up high enough to pop that seal out.

Checked case vent, working properly and clear. Replaced seal, filled. 20min of mowing hills and it popped out again. Ideas? And should I throw some RTV on the seal before putting back in.

Does cutter pto shaft telescope in/out freely? How long since telescoping parts of cutter pto shaft have been lubricated? I think you're correct about needing to apply RTV to seal.

Shaft does telescope freely. I’ll re lubricate and apply some rtv to seal.

Check the shaft and bearing for excessive movement in and out of the case.

Slight movement in and out but not excessive or loose. Local dealer said it’s usually the bearing gone bad to pop it out again. Thoughts before I drain everything and replace?

I agree that it's probably a bearing causing the issue:
Fairly easy fix on that model.
Replace both bearings.
