5100E starter swap

My 5100E has the belt driven starter can I put and gear starter on without problems? Thanks

I would like to see a picture of that!
All the schematics and manuals I have (and I have a few) show it with a flywheel gear starter and never a belt Type starter.
If it has that I would think it's an aftermarket add on,(that's putting it nicely).
Where is it mounted?
And what pulley does it drive?

Yup, I agree, never heard of that on a Kubota of any size or vintage.

Methinks somewhere, there is a cub lawnmower, missing its starter/generator and belt pulley...
