On bills final ratio thread I asked which way the 4wd lever should be to engage 4wd.
I didn’t want to hijack that thread so posting here.
My lever has always been back but I’ve never driven on asphalt or anything. Always dirt. I did push the lever forward a couple times to try to figure out which way engages 4wd but nothing seemed to change. Also one time I got stuck but I don’t remember the fronts spinning like the back. I got out by engaging the diff.
Should the fwd axle that runs along the left side to the front axle spin even if 4wd is not engaged? Mine spins regardless. I’m assuming my 4wd is broke so starting the diagnosis process.
