3rd function switch for grapple

OK has anyone else had the switch for their grapple go tits up? I started to use it this afternoon,, the light inthe switch wouldnt comeon then it is,, cool ,, then it went out and I pushed the button several more times it came on and then nada,,, Dealer was very nonchalant about it,, grrrrrrr that dayum thing hasnt been used much and to have it crap out for no reason,, I cant say much for the set up but there ya go,, Anyone change one out ?

hmm bet the 25c switch was Made in China......
how old was install ?
any warranty ?
can you just buy the switch ?
parts drawing may show how it's asembled...
hopefully not an all day job.
if cheap, buy TWO switches......

B2601 3rd function switch repair

Just entering this for the forum archive should anyone go searching in the future. I couldn't find much here when I searched. If you have a B2601 with dealer installed 3rd function kit "B1653" it has an on/off switch on the loader joystick. It will fail in short order if it gets wet. The part...

Not trying to be a wise guy but, have you confirmed said switch is defective? Pulled leads and checked for continuity when activating it? Checked fuses? Only reason I ask is the way I've got mine wired, all the aux power is fed thru a contactor. I thought my home brew wiring for my 3rd function or diverter valve was messed up only to find out the coil in my contactor was toast.

no worries ping.. this is about 9 months old and used very little and thats why I am torqued off. it is a dealer installed 3rd function set up so I have no dog in that race,, So I figure it is the switch everything else I can find looks ok. And yep it is one cheap assed set up to be sure, and the book they send along is useless just like most of the other info they give you.. And the sad thing is the open and close switches and the on and off switch appear to be all inclusive built right onto the joy stick. It is not mine duty thats for sure !

Skeets - first thing I thought of was B737’s thread that he linked earlier at post #3.

Sounds like those switches can be pretty junky for a piece of outdoor power equipment….
