Thanks for inclusion in this forum. I'm wondering who's got a good 3rd function kit, I'd like to add a grapple or change the bucket to a rake type with grapple. This would be for an L3000DT. I have an LA 452S FEL on it now. Thanks.

I ordered a top n tilt from FitRite as well as a 3 valve remote rear set. I plan on using the 3rd valve for my grapple

My dealer installed a WR Long 3rd function valve kit prior to delivering the tractor. WR Long is a widely used/respected supplier.

When I bought mine it didn’t have 3rd function. Dealer swapped the loader valve off a small M on their lot that already had the third function for the non-3rd function on mine prior to delivery for $500 including labor and everything. No issues at all with it. Seems like a lot of people go with the WR Long for retrofit.

I’ve seen some installs where the 3rd function control isn’t on the loader stick. Honestly can’t imagine using a grapple without the 3rd function control under my thumb on the loader control stick.

I agree that the 3rd function controls need to be on the loader stick. Best case? Go with a solenoid valve with thumb buttons on the loader stick. Budget-friendly option? Do a diverter valve and split the bucket tilt circuit with the grapple open/close. You’ll have loader up/down, and grab/release on the stick.
