Been thinking about a lever safety so as not to try and raise 3PH cylinders by accident when BH92 backhoe is attached.

This is my fix using available items:

Ordinary Kubota keychain slotted for handle and secured using fender washer and rivnut(jacknut).

Used 1/8” leather punch to make slot that is 3/4” long and starts 5/16” from edge.

Cleaned up slot with razor blade. Marked console and drilled 3/8” hole for rivnut. Loosen console with 10mm wrench and remove nut (14 mm) in cupholder. Slightly lift console so you don’t drill through wires.

You can see rivnut and how close it is to wires if console cover was seated. Here’s rivnut after cover is secured.

Use a 4mm key to tighten or loosen. I’m leaving the key in the tractor. Here’s the position during winter when I have ballast box on.

I pulled on it and it’s pretty stout I figure by the time my brain realizes I’m pulling on something that should stay put I’ll stop yanking on it.

Here’s link to the fender washers. They come with installation tool. I tried to order orange but they were out.
