In another thread, cerlawson provided a link a 3-point mounted "string trimmer". I hadn't thought of anything like this device before seeing the post, but a device like this would sure save me a lot of work. If it works.

I have a lot of citrus trees and long 4-rail fence that I "hand" weed whack. My current gas powered string trimmer will chew up the bark on the trees (and fence posts) if not operated carefully, and its hard on the back after a while.

Has anyone used the 3-point trimmer shown in this link.
Does it work well (are there any drawbacks, other than price)?
Are the DR products well built?

Thanks

Hope you invest in some kevlar with that
Seriously - it looks like a pretty good idea. What do you see wrong with it?

EDIT: Well after reading all the reviews on the DR site, I guess this is not the device for me. For one, it won't trim all the way around the trees by just making a straight pass up and down the rows.
