2850 Transfer Case Bad Noise

Hi,
I am posting a question for my brother regarding a problem with his Kubota L2850. The front wheel drive stopped working and now when he engages it there is a horrible noise in an area right under the seat. ( transfer case I suspect). Sounds pretty serious but am wondering if there is any history of similar problems with this model Kubota. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Nope no common problem, could be as simple as the collar that connects the front propeller shaft has broken or come off, remove the cover and inspect.
