I have a 2016 Kubota L4701 with the electric engage switch for the PTO and it wont engage or make any soind at all, the dealer said it was either the switch or a wire so I ordered a new switch and it did not help. I cant find any wires that look bad but I have no ide even where the wires are going into the transmission Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2017 BX23S and the pto quit working while I was blowing snow last winter. A glob of sealer on inside of the hst had broken off and lodged in the pto valve. That was the problem on mine. The dealer had never seen anything like that before.

1) If you don’t have a WSM, get one: https://kubotabooks.com/AutoIndex/index.php?dir=Tractor Owners Manuals/&file=L3301, L3901, L4701 Workshop manual..pdf

2) A brief review led me to page 3-M12 through 3-M14 for an explanation how it works. If it isn’t clicking it sounds like the solenoid isn’t kicking in, so I’d start on the electrical side of it but with a meter rather just replacing parts. Past a link to the WSM and the below excerpt from it, I’m of little use. Never been into that part of mine (and I’m good with that).

Excellent post by NCL4701. This level of detail can't but help.
