To buy new I would be looking at $25,600 out the door. Don't really have a need for the backhoe. What do you think the backhoe would sell for? I figured if I sell it for $5000 it would bring the price down from $21,000 to $16000 versus $17,900 if I just bought the tractor and loader new. It belongs to a friend who is going to trade it in on a JD and this is what the dealer is going to give him so I would have to buy everything. Is it possible that the Backhoe is worth more. New they(BH65) are about $7700 with the 12" bucket, sub-frame and hoe. Everything is based on paying cash for used or new because there is a $700 discount for paying cash versus 0% financing, otherwise new would be $26,300. What do you think the whole package is worth? Also I can't seem to find a whole lot of B2920 for sale or much info about them. Any input would be greatly appreciated. One dealer told me today that the 2920 was being discontinued. Thank you in advance - Steve

I wouldn't depend on dropping the price by selling the backhoe. The problem with that will be finding someone who needs that model backhoe. It took over a year to sell mine and I had the upper links so it would fit B or L series tractors.

You might sell it right away but then again you may have to sit on it for a year or more. I'm not saying you won't sell it but I wouldn't factor that in the price of the tractor.

I'll go along with Bulldog. You could be tying up a bunch of money for a long time, never sure you'll sell it at all. All the while, folks will offer about $2500.
I think you are a lot better off getting the tractor you want the first time. I think you should be able to find a discount of about $3500 - $4000 on a low hours B or L tractor.
Good Luck!
