Hello, my 2009 B2620 has always amazed me in what it can do. Is the New B2601 just as capable and tough? I have a loader and backhoe and will order the same on the B2601
I don’t think the B2601 would be much of an upgrade from your B2620.

You would be better off looking at the LX tractors.

Thanks for the feedback. I have quotes for both the LX2620 and B2601. The LX with back hoe seems to be around 19’ long and a few inches wider and higher. It also is about 450lbs heavier . This means I may need a new truck and trailer haha. My B2620 is 16 years old and is in great shape but I had two things go wrong on the same day. Just looking for something newer but don’t want to downgrade and be disappointed.

I have a B2650 which is now a LX2620. And I’ve got a BH. It does everything I want it too do and more I was very surprised at it’s ability. I would go. One step up and get the LX

The B2601 looks to be a like for like replacement of the B2620. Same weight, same engine. My B2601 goes well. If you're looking for the same thing as your B2620, same weight, same capability, just newer, then yes that is 100% what you need.

At the risk of sounding like “Captain Obvious”, swinging the BH will buy you some room.

I regularly tow my 2501 with the BH on a 16 foot trailer. and it fits if I have a little "over hang” of the bucket or grapple.

Thanks. Can you explain what you mean by position control? Is that in reference to the rear PTO?
Position control is the 3pt hitch.

The BX, and the older B, had quarter inching. You move the lever up, the 3pt goes up. You let it go, it stops going up. The newer Bs and most larger tractors have position control. There are markings from 1-10 on the slide. You set it to 4, it goes to height 4. It's always the same height at 4. Really useful if you do a pass of something at a specific height, lift the implement at the end of the row, then want to return to the same height for the next pass.

Lots of people think it's really important. Seems to me that it's really important if you're doing crop work. If you're doing crop work with a B2601, you're probably doing it wrong......

It also looks like the B2601 FEL can lift more and the BH has a 16” wide bucket versus 12”.
If you're definitely needing a backhoe, and not needing to mow, then a B26 would also be a good machine to look at. It's the commercial/rental version. The loader isn't removable, but it's heavier duty.
