How is your French?
For some odd reason I have the French RTV1100 but not the US version????
This reminds me…for the last ten years of my career, I worked as a simulator I.P. for a large training center at the DFW airport…. but the company’s parent was in Montreal.
One day I got a company email informing me that it was mandatory all employees be fluent in French…. and if I weren’t fluent in French…I was to reply via return-email ….. and the company would train me in their Montreal language school. It was a 6-month course and all my hotel, meals, travel and living expenses would be paid by the company while I attended the course. My usual pay would continue while I was in training.
I knew this was a mistaken email…. it was for the Quebec employees…. and for some reason, my email address became mixed-in with those employees….…..
…So I immediately responded that I was not Francophone and asked when I might be scheduled to come to Montreal.
For the next few days emails were exchanged back-and-forth scheduling my airline, hotel, etc etc….
Of course, it was soon discovered the company had mistakenly sent the original email randomly to employees outside of Quebec…and the offer for a six-month, all expenses paid vacation in Montreal was rescinded.
