I have an L 3750 and this seems like a rotational noise near the PTO case. It makes a noise if it’s in neutral or in gear with the spline spinning and has a similar rotation noise and I’m not sure if it’s normal or not. I have always owned John Deere tractors. Can anyone let me know if this is a normal sound. The PTO functions as it should but I just hear a noise while it’s in neutral

You do realize that it's impossible for us to "Hear" and evaluate a noise when you don't give us anything to go on!
Take a video of the noise and put it on youtube and give us a link to the video. ;)

The L3750 has the "L3" kubota chassis of the '84-'97 years. I've had 3 of these machines, an L4150 and two L5450's. FWIW, none of them made any noises around the pto area, whether in neutral or engaged - all was (is) generally quiet back there.

The pto gearbox is at the back end of the tractor driven from the clutch housing up front. Attached pic shows the pto box removed and its driveshaft coming thru the differential housing. If a ball bearing or gear anywhere in this drive is damaged, there could be an audible thumping or clicking noise that telegraphs through it.

The attached pics are from a pto modification thread from 2002. Take care, Dick B.
