Good day. I have a 1979 b7100 gear shift with a 1630 loader. I want to take the loader off and put on an hst tractor. I think it will work but I also see the 1630c was made for the hst. I won't be using a deck so that's no problem. I know that the hst is a little longer so I'll have to drill holes or make a plate for the front/rear subframe connection and I know the return hydro hose will need to be longer. It is ran off the hydraulic diverter valve so I'll just swap blocks for that. Will that work?

I dont know much about this specifically but i noticed the HST 7100s have some stuff mounted way up front (swollen/extended grille) which may mean front frame changes or interfere with the front brackets from a non-hst loader. Im sure there are manuals in PDF form of 1630 and 1630c on the internet from which you could glean the real differences.

If you are comfortable cutting and welding on it im certain it'd be the quickest path to the goal, unless you just happen to know of a 1630c sitting on a parts tractor that someone would be willing to swap you the relevant pieces from! Doubtful!
