I found a small diameter cable right at the back (under rear of dump box, right side) that is not connected to anything...hour glass shaped cable end with a 1/16" hole. Very cramped under there to see where it should go...anyone? Thanks

Looks like the transmission control cable...when I bought this RTV it came with a bunch of new parts to put back the 2wd/4wd shift lever/cables etc. I wondered why they would ever have been removed? They're still in the box.

Why not ask the previous owner ?
'Box of new parts',unused suggests he bought them all after someone diagnosed and said buy this, that, and these...THEN during the actual repair found out he didn't NEED those parts ?

OK, after further investigation, this was likely used in a mine ( it came from Prince Albert, B.C. "uranium"?)...what I'm trying to understand is as follows:
the monster bracket for the shift levers has has the 2-4wd pivot cut off, If someone didn't want the choice of shifting available, they could have just undone or removed the cable. This seems like a drastic measure. If someone has some input on what they do in mines with these, maybe as a stationary power source or whatever that would maybe explain this mod. Almost $700 worth of parts were supplied with this to "put it back". I'm not complaining, just curious.
Thanks
