Hi Guys,
The tyres on the rear of my tractor are way oversized (I think). They have a rolling circumference of about 150" (17.5 - 24)
What is the correct ratio for this tractor because I need to change the fronts and can't see any size on the ones that are on it? They are some sort of Bobcat tyres.
Thanks

Factory R-1 Tires were:

Front 7-16 RC @ 88
Rear 12.4-24 RC @ 138

So with R-4 Tires
Rear 17.5-24 RC @ 145 (This was the average of several manufactures)
Fronts should be RC @ 94

Look at the front's again and see if you can find any Numbers that might be a size.

I have odd sized tires on mine, they are shorter but fatter, works fine and dandy, better on grades and hills too.

Found it! 10-16.5 industrial tread. I will hopefully change to Ag tread

The RC on 10-16.5 is @ 91 so right now your ratio is off a little as it is, but it does work.

R1's are going to be much narrower that I think what you would really like to have.
Don't you want as much flotation as you can get out of it?

If you do, I can tell you the R3 or F1 Tires that will fit it that will give you much better traction, if that's what you need. ;)

Thanks North Idaho Wolfman,
I am trying for a combination of flotation and traction. All I can see are industrial skid steer tyres so any help would be great. Bear in mind that I also need to be able to carry around half a ton in the FEL but that is only for short distances, so not critical. I have been blaming the square edges on the fronts for digging in but it might just be because the ratio is out.
Thanks
