Just bought a new to me m6800 with 1300hrs it runs good but has a knock or tap like sound at idle (I have been around many diesels and it seems to be a little more them the typical knock all diesels have) the more rpm you give it the less you hear it. Load doesn't seem to change it.I have adjusted the valves but it didn't seem to change it. Anyone else on here with a m6800 that just has a loud engine at idle? Is just nature of these engines?

No knock on my 6800. Normal sound at idle. Might want to check with dealer mech on likely cause. Good luck.
