I have a harbor freight compression tester, but none of the adapters fit this engine. My main lack of available tools is that I’m on a small island, and most places on the big island are closed because of covid. I’ll see if anyone local has a coolant system tester, that is a possibility.

Does it leave the pool of oil after just sitting, or while running (or both). I know my B6200d leaves a nice little oil pool when I run stationary equipment for a bit (such as a chipper), but it***8217;s coming from the breather and blow by.

Doesn't seem likely to get warranty repair out of them, they just don't see to work like that, at least it hasn't been offered upon inquiry about the problem. The tech at the shop we bought it from did offer to help diagnose it, if we can get it there, which naturally isn't that easy, even so...

Hello, sorry for the slow response. I finally got a chance to get at the engine. It is in fact a D1305, and has 'K3A' cast just below that. Not sure about the 1123CC designation, I just pulled that from the Beta Marine description. Anyway, it's still doing the same thing, running rough at idle...
