    hydraulic three point bale loader

After loading some fifty bales with the bale lift I found out the following. 1. The hydraulic top link did not work out. It was too jerky. 2. I could not tell what angle the spears were at when they were inserted into the bale.3. Frot was minimally ok on fairly level ground. We made sure to...

    Front weights

I have the factory front ballast on my M7040 and front tires filled with anti freeze. Still need a little more weight. I plan on doing something similar to what you did. I am going to have some steel cut out to match the factory ballast shape, then drill a hole thru the ballast and added steel...

    Hay spike question

If you carry both front and rear at the same time, you might be ok. If you carry with just the front end loader you will need ballast. A 5' round bale weighs in the neighborhood of 1200 lbs.

    Hydraulic top link debate

Yes it does have the double piloted system. I was told it was necessary. Dunno know why. It does have its place. Lifting my three thousand pound bush hog slows it down a good bit.

    Hydraulic top link debate

I did think about going to 1/4" lines, but wanted to hear what others had to say. Thinking about adapting it to the new spreader to adjust seed and fertilizer density. To do that cylinder would have to be slow and smooth.

    3 pt on M7040

What about your hydraulic fluid. Is it white looking? If so it will not be very effective. How long since the last change? Hydraulic fluid filter? Hydraulic fluid level? Something is not right.

    Hydraulic top link debate

Was a little disappointed with my hydrulic top link. It operates too fast. Hard to be precise with it. My thoughts were it would be great for bale lift I have. Turns out it was a pain. Too fast and I could not tell precisely what angle the spear was when buried in the round bale. It is great for...

    3 pt on M7040

I have a M7040. I pull a ten foot {3000} lb mower. It adjusts height of the bush hog via a hydraulic cylinder. Especially when the bush hog is cold I have to increase rpms to 1500 or so. Are you talking about at idle or are you too increasing rpms? How much weight?

    hydraulic three point bale loader

Here is a pic of the sun screen thaat installs in between the rops uprights. I can actually feel the temp go down when my back is to the sun. One of the best mods I have done.

    hydraulic three point bale loader

Actually tried bale loader with new top link. Very nice working. Am slowly making this tractor a "do all". Will be stacking round bales tomorrow. That is the true test!

Hydraulic top link received, installed, and tested. Whom ever thought of this is a genius. Boss wants one for his tractor now. I will post pics today.

    hydraulic three point bale loader

After three months of looking, I finally found the hydraulic top link that fits my tractor. Even comes already painted orange. Last piece of the puzzle for awhile. Early spring has moved hay season up a month here. Just about to get really busy. I will try and post a pic before the 18 hour days...

    hydraulic three point bale loader

Thank you. After some anxious moments, I got the mower to doing what it does best. It pushes the tractor a little in certain situations, but is easily controled if ya just pay attention. This thig must have real heavy blades. We have a six foot mower. Using that mower if ya hit a big ant hill...

    My steed

Thanks cabu. It would just about have to be flat to work. I had a double pane picture window made for a house once. Guess I need to visit some glass companies and see what I can come up with.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spent the last two days putting my new-to-me Bush Hog 3210 thru it's paces mowing down all the golden rod before it seeds out. It's a pull behind with hydraulics. Perfect for adjusting to just graze the clover and get the goldenrod. This 3000 lb mower gives my M7040 about all it wants to handle...

    My steed

I have it in my mind to add a windsield to give me more protection from the sun. {Doc sez very important}. I can fabricate the framework out of steel. Ditto the brackets to hold glass, {bedded in silacone}. Having problems finding exactly what kind of glass is required. I know safety glass, but...

    bush hog 3210

I might have spoke too soon. I bought the Bush Hog and then it had to sit for a month til I had chance to put it thru it's paces. I checked all three gear boxes before I ran the Bush Hog. I am a retired equipment repairman and know what happens to gear boxes that have been run dry. I could find...

    Adding hydraulics to M7040

I did have the dealer add the second set of hydraulics. It looked simple enough to do, but the tractor is still under warranty and I did not want to chance messing that up.
