A first step would be to pull the panel and clean the pins and socket with some electric cleaner spray. A pencil erasure works great for cleaning pins. Carb cleaner tools might work on the sockets. Disconnect battery first. I don't remember if you have checked fuses or power to panel.

Instead of buying a $2K scan tool that may or may not work you could buy a new panel for $800. You can also send the panel off to be fixed or if ambitious do it yourself. Most of the time these panels just need a bunch of resistors replaced and that is easy.

If adjusting did not work pull it off with the clutch depressed and when up to speed pop the clutch. Freed up cars like that.

My MX4800 just did the same thing. After looking into the slit where the throttle lever goes I put my finger in there and moved a little lever and fixed it. Needed some Teflon spray. YMMV

I going to guess that this glass is set in butyl since I don't see weatherstripping. A heat gun and putty knife will clean up the old frame. Test fit and then a new layer of butyl caulk will set the glass. Be aware this stuff will get all over you like antisieze.

Might be like my MX4800 and only have a sight glass. Mine is to the left of the PTO shaft.

This is exactly what WD40 is good for. I would spray all the connections.

I really like my DeWalt battery power grease gun. I think it matters more how often you grease than what type. Another vote for Lock&Lube.

When drilling in steel use a cutting fluid. You can use old motor oil or hydraulic fluid. Go slow.
