    First Time Buyer MX4700

Please rethink your 2WD preference over 4WD; I’ve been stuck in my gravel driveway while in 2WD and needed to go into 4WD to free myself. I use 4WD to get my 2WD F150 unstuck on the same driveway. I also use 4WD anytime I use the FEL.

    Handrail Finials

When quality HSS turning gouges and skew chisels aren’t the answer carbide is the answer. For turning I’ve only used HSS, but all of my other wood shop tool cutters/blades are carbide tipped which cut through everything and seemingly last forever.

Necessary to Clean Mower Deck After Every Session?

I mow when the grass is dry and the morning dew has evaporated and I clean my deck, once, at the end of each mowing season. Most years there is nothing to scrape off the underside of the mowing deck.

    What’s with all the SPAM?

As good as my home cured bacon is; it’s best when cut into thumb sized pieces and deep fried in duck fat for 12 to 18 seconds…though not good for your heart it’s great for everything else.

    What’s with all the SPAM?

I’m sorry, but spam in a can or otherwise is just not good. I was stationed in Hawaii for three years and I did not like spam before, during, or after regardless how it was served to me; I tried it too many times and found no preparation to be acceptable. Why eat spam when there’s bacon…I cure...

    BX23S material collection system

On my second file there is a drawing for installation on a BX24, which is what was available back then before the BX 25 and now the BX23S…”maybe“ it can be done on a BX23S as well. Maybe there is a chance that the ”U” shaped supports for your backhoe will hold/support the grass catcher that are...

    BX23S material collection system

On my BX1870, I had to install two support stays for my GCK 60–23BX…these stay on the BX1870, I do not know if that is compatible with the BX23S. There isn’t a lot if room back there.

    Down-Hill In A Hurry

Yes, as you well know 4WD is your friend; I use it anytime I have the FEL on and I cannot remember the last time I needed brakes with the FEL on, but I can remember the last the brakes were not enough when the FEL was off…turf tires, wet grass, hills, trees … pucker up big boy!!!

I agree with your takeaway...3 feet might be a bit too high,

Lynch pin instead of snap rings? - BX 3 Point Hitch

I have the pto powered GCK60-23BX Grass Catcher for my BX1870-1, this version does not use the 3-point hitch, some variations do. In order install it the 3-point hutch must be removed.

Lynch pin instead of snap rings? - BX 3 Point Hitch

I use lynch pins…agree with you that they are easier to install and remove.

OK smart guys answer me this

I match rear weight to the weight of what I am carrying in my FEL. 3-point will lift more than FEL.
