Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

Thanks, anything that helps me visualize it is great. I'm somewhat limited in my fabrication capabilities (except for wood...I can do things with wood. But that doesn't really help here). I'm thinking I can manage a metal bracket to hold the valve to the ROPS via U-bolts, but that might be...

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

If I mount the valve on the ROPS, and used 90 deg fittings to angle the hoses immediately down, would female QDs on the end of 1 or 2 ft long hoses make sense? I would think I could fashion something to keep the half-octupus corralled and out of the way when not in use. I guess half octupus +...

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

Thanks for the example, but I don't think that will work for me. Mine are fully for the rear, as I already have a 3rd function on the front. And my valve has to connect into the hoses for the backhoe, which is all already towards the back.

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

Can anyone vouch on whether it's practical to operate the 4 QDs if they are mounted directly on the valve? I guess, since I'm going to need them anyway, I should just order them and then I can see for myself via dryfit on my workbench.....

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

Hah...ok, sorry. When you said facing forward, I thought "LOOKING" forward. So yes, I only expect to ever use the levers when my SEAT is facing forward (and thus so would I), though I will probably be looking rearwards over my right shoulder while doing so. I only put in the pics of the seat...

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

On a B2650 or other? I agree that would be a good place but I don't see how to do that with the fender there. I'm not aware of anything solid to connect it to there. I'd rather not cut holes in the fender. For better or worse, I'm definitely using the valve that I got. It's the price point...

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

The only thing I have in mind for this so far is a hydraulic toplink, and maybe when a hit the lottery, a tilt too. When I'm using the boxblade I'm almost always looking behind to see how it's going and to possibly adjust the height. I figured if I was using the top link to adjust the angle of...

Placement advice of monoblock 2 spool valve on B2650

I have another thread going about putting rear remotes on my B2650. I have purchased the P40G-2A1 from summit and I'm slowly putting together the list of fittings and couplers I'll need to get it plumbed in. Some of the decision making is going to be based on where it gets mounted on the...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Thanks for all the help Dan. You're way more patient than I would have been with myself. Next step I think is to educate myself on how hydraulic fittings/connections/hoses all go together. I'll start with that spreadsheet you gave so I can become familiar with what goes where. I'm going to...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Oh, I think you're beginning to sense that very little is obvious to me.... I saw the diagram, with the hose attached to the upper left side...but the upper left side of WHAT? It's obviously something large and molded, but it's not labeled at all. Is that the transmission? So that would be...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Ok, so if I can find the loader valve and identify its tank return port, then follow that hose and see if there's a place to break into it?

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Ok then, I think there are 2 more things that have to get nailed down before I can start trying to understand all those part numbers you provided in that spreadsheet.... 1) Can you guide me towards where that hose is you said I should splice the T line into? I need to make sure I can find it...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Right, where PB is "N" on the valve with the PB adapter, right? Then yes, we're saying the same thing. :)

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Ok then, so THIS is where we're at now: When backhoe is not in use, then male connects to female on the tractor. And when backhoe is being used, then male-to-female connections between tractor and backhoe. Do I finally have it? Thanks so much for the patience because this is a lot...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Thanks for that diagram. It doesn't quite match with what I've got, but I may know why. So I followed the female connector on the tractor, where the male hose from the backhoe plugs in, and it was tough to follow it because it gets lumped in with a bunch of other hoses, but I BELIEVE that it...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Geez, took me FOREVER to find this, and it makes the valve all clear, and where the power beyond adapter goes. So the valve I understand now. I'm working on understanding the other parts, and yes, I agree...it can be confusing. I hadn't known that "power beyond" could be a supply or a return...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

I thought I'd post this picture to show where the hose from the tractor is coming from. I bought this tractor used, so there's no particular proof that the backhoe hydraulics were installed at the factory. The hose with the male Ag connector is connected to the top of the, what...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Ok, does this look right in the "No backhoe attached" configuration? The hose that previously came from the tractor to the backhoe now gets permanently attached to N, and a new hose gets attached to P and has the male Ag connector on it. When I'm not using the backhoe, I connect that into the...

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Thanks so much for the help. Let's break this down, because I'm still not getting it. Let's start with "backhoe not attached". T goes back to tank, got that. But the valve should have a supply. I'm not seeing how the valve gets its supply.

    Hydraulic/Electric toplink for B2650 (w/o rear remotes)?

Ok, I'm finally back on this. Weather has warmed enough to get me outside again. I need to fully understand the connections that have to happen before I can start to visualize it and then order the other parts I'll need. I drew a diagram to help me understand what connection goes where...
