Going in to reverse it’s the same jerkiness with foot clutch or hydraulic shuttle. I didn’t add this to my profile but I have a bunch of other tractors (landini 60-80hp tractors) and some older farmalls, and none of them have anything like the sudden jerk of this unit.

I don't use any throttle at all, because it's so jerky. Shift modulation valve? Would you suggest trying to adjust it? Is that all in the shop manual? Thanks!

First tractor with hydraulic shuttle, but its a used cab model with 800hrs, 2013 I believe. Shifting the hydraulic shuttle is not smooth. Hi Rich, I am having EXACTLY the same issue with an M7040. The dealer sent a tech today who spent 4 hours here and only slightly improved the situation. Any chance you could send some pics of what you did to point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Someone posted something similar a couple years back - M7040 cab model, three point won't go down past about 2/3's maximum height. The position lever doesn't really do anything, and the draft lever makes the arms come UP when you push the lever DOWN! Here's a video: Imgur link to m7040 video...

Hi, Im having a very similar problem. Three point only goes to about 2/3rds height, and the draft lever, when put down all the way, actually makes the three point come back up and the engine labours. Here's a video: Did you resolve your problem? Any hints?
