    L3800 l3901 l2502

L3800 Sounds nice but I am not familiar with that model as much. My problem when shopping was used just holds their value too much and the price difference wasn't enough to justify it. I ended up with the L3302 and I like it. The L2502 did not have the power I wanted after coming from a B2601...

    L3302 Seat Switch fix help

I have had an L3302 since they first came out. Love the tractor except for the seat switch. A few people have asked about it but there has not been an answer. The 3302 has the switch in the seat so it is different than the older ones. I don't want to bypass it completely or put a toggle in. I...

    New BX 1880 Owner

Just FYI in my experience I have never had an issue with wheel ballast on my BX or B. Both were filled with Rim Guard. With the weight of these tractors the benefit is good and I never saw an issue with my lawn or property. I have very soft sandy soil in most areas here in WI.

    Tractor Turning Radius.

I would stay away from the GR unless you know you are going to keep it for 20 years. The resale market is not nearly as strong as the BX lineup or similar from other makes. Messisks have a video about the death of the garden tractor. Only reason I still have one is that it is older and I can't...

Looking to buy a new or used L3902 0r 3901 opinions?

Last 2 tractors I bought new due to the used market. Other one I just got lucky. Problem is if ones comes up for a decent price it will be gone in 1 hour. I have a L3302. I think the 02 is worth the upgrades anyway. If you find a 33 it may be worth considering. Same motor just different...

    Insurance?

We have a underwriter on our policy for our tractor. Meets the requirements for Kubota loan and much cheaper. Just only covers it on my property.

    Buying in today’s economy

True but your $20/hour is not calculating resale value. Midsize/ compact/ sub-compact tractors hold their value like no other. Add that in when you are "done" with it and it is not too bad.

Yes you need to find one already setup and ready to go. They are out there.

    Best Time To Buy?

Here in WI it never changes unless you are just looking for a mower and nothing else. Used are impossible to find at a reasonable price. Just have to stumble upon it and snag it before someone else does. New, find it in stock at a dealer you can trust. Even with the shortages my dealer was...

    A riddle wrapped in a GR2120.

Sounds like a used BX would suit your needs well. I upgraded to something larger but I wish I had the funds to keep the BX for the tasks you describe.

    New BX 1880 Owner

I am a fan of ballast in the rear tires. Have the dealer put Rimguard in for you. It is pretty inexpensive. If you want to be cheap you can fill them with RV antifreeze at home yourself. The smaller tractors can struggle with some tasks due to lack of weight, or at least make it more...

    Compact tractor purchase

Your tasks are big enough I would get the largest tractor in your budget. I went from a BX to a B2601 to now A L3302. The B could do everything I pretty much needed but with the hills on my property it was in 4wd all the time, even mowing with the finish or brush hog. With a big 3 pt the B was...

    Pointless Upgrade?

Yeah mine was 0 for 72. Didn't we all!

    Pointless Upgrade?

Kubota is still doing 0% for 48 months or .99% for 60, and 1.99% for 72. Very low considering the current loan rates.

    Pointless Upgrade?

I went from a B2601 to an L3302 this spring. Big difference in loader and grapple work. It does everything so much easier and more stable. I need to move 26 tons of gravel this fall a decent distance and it will be much better with the L. With todays market you will do well on your 2601 and...

Upgrading ? LX or L series

My B rad R4. My L3302 has the R14. I love them. I have big hills and they can be sandy. Good traction and I don't use it a ton in winter but should be better.

Upgrading ? LX or L series

Most of the smaller tractor emission issues is user related. If you idle it around or only use the RPM you think you need you are doing the tractor a disservice. Same goes for letting it idle for extended periods. Run it at the recommended RPM and you will be fine.

    Auction Result (A Tell?)

Always seems to me the larger equipment is a tougher market. The subcompact / compact market has been overinflated for many years before the pandemic. That is why I bought new the last 2 times. I could not justify the cost of a used machine that was 5-10 years old when a new one with...

Upgrading ? LX or L series

I have the L3302 and upgraded from a B2601. Night and day. For your work you want the L for the extra weight and lenght. Even without the horsepower portion it was a much larger upgrade than expected. Much easier to do bucket work and does it with ease. Rarely use 4wd on my property where...

    New Tractor 5 acres

I went from R4 to the R14. I am happy with my decision and they have not seen winter yet. Our property has a lot of sand and woods. I feel the R14's have more traction in the loose stuff. I don't use it a ton in winter but the R4's were pretty poor.
