Anyone ever have a trailer with metal grating for a deck?

Of the top of my head - My trailer has 8k axles and was fitted with 235/80R16 tires, they were load rated E my goal is to upgrade to a load rating of H which is about 4,000 lbs per tire. Nearly all of these tires are out of China.

Anyone ever have a trailer with metal grating for a deck?

I tow my KX040 on a 24’ tilt goose neck trailer, 16’ tilt bed plus 6’ flat fixed deck, not metal slat, make sure your axles and tires are correctly rated. My tires are not rated inline with my overall trailer rating, I blew one on my last trip, I’m in the process of updating tires to a heavier...

    Everything Attachments - Bankrupt?

Wow tough crowd here with all the cries of Jail! What happened to being assumed innocent before being found guilty. just a thought, but a building contractor could have given EA a problem by placing a lien and having a suspect claim, in these situations banks have no patience and immediately...

    Everything Attachments - Bankrupt?

What a shame to read this thread, I purchased quite a few attachments from EA over the last 6 or 7 years, it is all great equipment. from what I’ve read here it looks as if EA may have become too popular and too busy, business ownership may have taken their eye off the ball or got caught up in...

    PTO shear bolt??

If you have gone through 2 so far at least you know that they shear and work. Unless this is a big issue and they are shearing for little to no reason, I would stay with the lower grade unless you conclude the current bolts are failing at the slightest issue. Wolfman is much more qualified, my...

    Finish Mower Help

The Woods manual for RD 60 and 72, recommend minimum tractor HP of 25. It does not say PTO HP. Based on my experience I’d say you should be fine with 21 PTO HP and the use you describe. I have lots of Woods attachments, they are all quality equipment.

    Pallet Forks for MX4800?

I have US made 48” 4,000lb ratted forks and frame on my MX, look for UA brand or see Titan attachments USAmade. Forks are my most used FEL attachment, don’t buy cheap or light rated forks, a good purchase will last a lifetime.

Bush hog 50-06 rear blade on a MX4800?

Blade is Rated at 50hp at PTO you have 40hp at PTO, you will have no issue with the rear blade. I’m not sure why Bush Hog use PTO hp as we all know a rear blade has no PTO connection!

    Skidding Winch Recommendation

I have a Farmi JL501 skidding winch, now renamed as their model 50. I did a lot of research and selected this brand about 5 years ago, I manage over 300+ acres of forest land and give it quite a bit of use on my MX5800. the winch performs well and I’ve had no problem of any kind with it. I...

    Do I buy a BX1880 or BX2380?

Out of the 2 you list BX2380 for the increased pto HP. If I was buying a BX I would buy the BX 2680, there are so many attachments that recommend pto HP at a minimum of around 20HP. Good luck with your new tractor.

    WoodMaxx chipper

There is nothing wrong with a chipper that exceeds your needs, you will find the hydraulic auto feed to be one of its best features. I run a WoodMaxx MX series on a L3200 and spend days with it in the woods. I would not worry about the weight or your HP. Good luck with it.

    Noob looking for a tractor

I own both a L3901 and a MX5800, I do not have the altitude like you have but do have over 10 x the woodland acreage that you have. I do not recommend a cab in a woodland environment on a tractor, there are just so many chances of easy damage. I have a track loader with a cab and an excavator...

Forestry winch too big for LX2610?

I use a similar capacity, Farmi winch on my MX5800, I would never consider putting in on my L3901 my key comment would be tractor weight, a winch can develop a lot of pull. If your smaller HP tractor reduces the winch capacity, then maybe it is useable. I’ve had some scary moments with trees...

Engage PTO when off the seat.

L3200 and L3901, same as above, transmission in N, set park brake, engage pto, then lift and tilt seat forward as you exit.

    PTO Chipper recommendations

I use a WoodMaxx MX9900 on a L3200 or L3901 and will run it for days at a time for cleanup projects. A lot depends on your future anticipated use. the MX series is made in the US and WoodMaxx has great support. My MX9900 has been flawless and is a beast. The powered vari speed infeed system is...
