BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

Nicfin, I sat on one at the dealer and the seats are very close but both can be used at the same time but you would be bumping heads if not careful. Ref cruise control. How does that work. I have it on my BX25 but I've only used it to maintain a speed on long stretches on the highway or grass...

BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

HA! I get your points. But my wife and I at plus 47 of marriage +13 years as good friends (and still good friends) have finally learned to work as a team. Not necessarly a well oiled machine but we do have fun together still. She finally has me figured out warts and all:):):):):):) Im just...

BH77 backhoe on L2501 - with one operator in each seat

I understand it can be done but I've read there might be issues. I don't have the BH77 yet. But I'm wanting to be able to dig a trench and have my wife in the tractor seat to move the tractor forward in increments. IE I dig as much as possible, then have my wife reposition then dig etc. Is that...

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

It also says for extreme temperatures consult your dealer. If you live in North Central us, most of Canada, Alaska, Finland, Norway, Russia, and other northern climates 50/50 only protects to -35F. In those areas you must go to a 60/40 or 70/30 mix. 70/30 protects to -84. Aren't we lucky to...

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

I would imagine your shop would not do anything that would possibly void the warranty which is both wise and prudent. Just because you didn't do it doesn't mean it cant be done however. With analysis sometimes A fleet shop would be looking for ways to save money by reducing maintenance cost...

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

Another thought. Many of the major trucking lines test the coolant and add additives as required and don't replace the fluid at all. On my Cummins engine I used to do that. Bought all the stuff I needed from NAPA. Not worth the trouble though on this little engine. One gallon of antifreeze...

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

I drained about 2 quarts and it only holds 2.8. That would reinforce what you said. Wish I had turned on the engine to see if it would have emptied the pump. Something to try next time. With that said I removed 70% of the system antifreeze. Since the only reason to change coolant is just to...

BX25D exhaust pipe - really needed?

JG, Ill admit if I had taken of the brush guard it would have bee easier but I saw i n another video someone taking off the hood and it was super simple. Easier than the bush guard I think. i just leaving the exhaust guard off this time and see how it goes.

BX25D exhaust pipe - really needed?

Oh wow! Isn't it amazing how the mfrs can design such great equipment with no concept of maintenance. My L2501 is just the opposite. every thing in plain site and easy to get to.

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

I couldn't use a socket. No clearance. Had to use a box wrench. It does feel funny because it goes thru what appears to be a rubber bushing with a bronze washer. Rather unique.

BX25D exhaust pipe - really needed?

I'm just going to leave it off this time and see if it makes that much difference. I dont know if it purpose was to minimize fumes from getting back at the operator or keep smoke from letting on the FEL but reckon Ill find out pretty soon!

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

I think it will but removing the Radiator hose is a hassle and you cant get to the radiator drain plug without removing the oil filter. This is so much simpler i think Ill just change the coolant anytime I replace that fuel filter. A note on the fuel filter. At 200 hours my filter had no water...

Location of BX25D block anti freeze drain

Easy way to drain antifreeze when you change the fuel filter. Just under the fuel injector. The 17mm bolt is just behind the socket. Unfortunately this picture is upside down. Ive tried changing it even rotated the picture off line and it still flips it ??????

BX25D exhaust pipe - really needed?

Im just finishing my 200 hour maintenance ordeal. To remove the 2nd fuel filter I had to remove the wrap-around side bonnet, but to do that I had to remove the top bonnet, then finally I had to remove the small 2 inch muffler exhaust pipe extension. Mercy!!!! could it be more involved? The...

    Loader Falls too fast

What are the dimentions? Looks to be roughly 2' x 2' x 2'. Am I close? Did you use bags of concrete or made it part of a concrete pour from a truck?
