Pats Cat 2 on an MX5200?

I bought a Pats Cat 2 Quick attach set for my MX5200. The directions say they are intended for lift arms from 3.25 to 4 inches. The arms on the MX are 3. However they came with shims and the .75 inch shims appear to do the trick to make them fit. So I'm not sure if I'm missing something...

Tractor Chipper vs Stand Alone Unit?

I went with a stand alone. It makes for a very long train... tractor with bucket plus the chipper.... Im in the woods a lot so it can be a pain but I definitely like the fact that the hours are on the chipper and not the tractor. Full disclosure... my stand alone chipper is a 9 inch bandit so...

    50 Hr service...

As a side note on the subject of the 50 hr service... I had read or saw on YouTube that guys were losing up to 2 gallons of oil when changing the hst filter. Also read that parking tractor sideways on an incline would reduce oil loss. Might have read that here... can’t remember.... but that...

    50 Hr service...

It was just the filter oil. Oil in the Hydraulic filter seemed cleaner than hst but not great. I will run it for the next 150hrs and change fluid with the next filter change. Mac

    50 Hr service...

I just finished the 50 hour service on my MX5200. All went well procedurally but I was a little surprised by the appearance of the HST oil and the amount of crud and metal slivers stuck to the magnet on the filter. So I'm just checking with you fine folks to see what you found when you did your...

Fix for a sensitive seat kill switch

I looked for an adjustment but there is none. I tried taking the plastic finger off and repositioning it on the shaft.. it only installs in one position. I considered removing it too but figured that's not the smart thing to do. So my mod was all I could think of. I suppose you could attach a...

Fix for a sensitive seat kill switch

My new MX seat switch was too sensitive. It would kill the engine just from leaning over to the right side of the tractor when I was trying to eyeball the loader. So I cut a small metal shim and installed it between the switch and the bracket. I ended up replacing the bolt with one that was...

    Floor mat for MX5200

I used a piece of cardboard to make a template and cut it out from a Home Depot door mat. I installed it upside down so as to not trap water between the mat and deck and so that it would not collect so much boot dirt. Its easier to clean that way. Fastened with body panel fasteners.

New mx5200 3point hitch wont drop

Wolfman to the rescue. That was it. Thanks. I figured it was something stupid. I’m tempted to delete this thread to save face but I’ll refrain in hopes it helps some other greenhorn in the future. Lol.

New mx5200 3point hitch wont drop

I have a new mx5200... 4hrs on it. I just bought a bush hog for that I haven’t even brought home yet. I started looking at my 3pth and tried the raise/lower lever but nothing happened. I put the lever in the down position and stood on the arms and it still wouldn’t drop. Am I missing something...

    New MX5200 clicking sound...

Hey everyone. I'm new the forum. I'm the proud owner of a new MX5200hst. Question... When I turn the key to the pre-start/glow plug position and wait for the glow plug light to go out, I hear a clicking sound coming from the right side of the tractor. It kind of sounds like a relay opening...
