On the drop speed lever there are 2 black knobs under the seat, I'm assuming one is for drop speed and the other is for front and back for a front bucket attachment. Do you know exactly what these knobs are for?

Well I took a look at the filter and on the side facing away from you there was a huge dent in the filter. I'm gonna replace that tomorrow and see if that fixes my problem.

I will look into that tomorrow. Is there a way to actually test the pump itself. I've got my doubts on it being the pump since it just quit all of a sudden but I haven't had this tractor long enough to fully understand the hydrostatic system.

I will look close at it. Is that line you are referring to the one that goes from the rear of the tractor down under the right side of the floor to the pump and filter. I also noticed my hydraulic filter has a nice sized dent in it possibly from a limb hitting it whenever i was clearing brush.

Battery voltage with the engine running is 14.3. I checked the fuses before I found the regulator wire unplugged but will check again to make sure.

I've checked the power at the battery while running and it was reading 12.4. Also checked the power on the post of the alternator it was reading 12.4 also. The red wire and the 3 wire plug from the alternator goes to the cab.

I got the problem fixed. The kill switch linkage grounded out the solenoid and burnt the wire. There was a rubber boot over the feed wire of the solenoid that had slid up the wire and wasn't covering the post on the solenoid. It the solenoid has to be on at all times to keep the tractor running...

I seen the solenoid and it's on the bottom toward the back of the injector pump. How many volts should it be getting and also should it come on when I turn the key or crank it over. And what is the purpose of having this shutoff valve?

I figured it wasn't venting properly. Does it vent through the fuel cap itself ? And also I managed to get fuel all the way to the injection pump but I can't get it past there. I need some info on where to buy the manuals at.

Sorry i understand that the Dexron ATF will work for the steering. What i meant to ask was the actual hydraulic fluid for the rear. According to what i read it calls for a Kubota UDT fluid. I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative in place of the expensive fluid that Kubota sells.
