    Considering L175 with loader

I just sold mine after 25 years of faithful, pretty much trouble free service. I can't say enough good about that little machine. You would never know it was not 4WD. I miss her already!

    R520 F-R Shift inop

Problem Solved! We finally found a broken wire running out of the harness into a solenoid type block down near front axle/trans area. Looking for the bigger problem blinded me to the obvious one. I could not ever see any loose/broken wires until I pulled all the floor plates off. The downside...

    1997 R520 Sometimes Won't Move

Re: !997 R520 Sometimes Won't Move Problem SOLVED!! Stray wire disconnected (broken) feeding hydraulic solenoid slightly to rear of steering column. This connection seems susceptible to damage in brushy and rocky conditions. Easy fix that took forever to find. Great machine!!:)

    R520 F-R Shift inop

Have a wiring harness diagram, not the entire shop manual. Everything works on dashboard, no change between hi-low/hold All else seems OK. I dug around under the floorboard and there are a pair of wires for each solenoid and another cylindrical unit lower down. Nothing seems amiss. Those wires...

    R520 F-R Shift inop

All fuses good, took the lever mechanism apart and checks OK. No obvious things like cut or broken wires. I didn't see any issues with the solenoids, and it's interesting that neither works, and the irritating backup alarm is quiet. Makes me think it's electric. Is there a relay or safety switch...

    R520 F-R Shift inop

This is bizarre. Out of the blue, the electric shuttle shift has decided to quit - the 520 won't move in forward or reverse. No broken wires or blown fuses, nothing disconnected. Switch on dash does not make a difference. Hydraulics full. Everything else works. Any ideas? Anyone have experience...

    R520 Hydraulic Cylinder

Ordered the kit from one of the online dealers, for over $300 for a handful of rings and seals. Easy replacement. Basic hydraulic cylinder r&r. Installed and working so I guess I can't complain.

    R520 Hydraulic Cylinder

Thanks to everyone who responded. I know I can go to the dealer, of course. But the parts list I see only shows the whole cylinder (it's the center bucket ram BTW) not a kit. I was hoping for an aftermarket source other than dealer. And I'm looking for the KIT part no. at least! It's a great...

    R520 Hydraulic Cylinder

Hi I can't seem to find a part number or source for a seal kit for the center hydraulic ram of the R520 Wheel Loader. Mine is leaking like a sieve, and I'd prefer to use the correct factory seal if possible. The parts catalog seems to only list the whole new cylinder at $1700. plus! Anyone got...
